Is the United Nations Worth it?

Is the United Nations worth it?  Only some nations are paying for the United Nations ( the United States among others ) but more get the benefit of it.  Should the smaller 3rd world nations present a plan for the larger nations to follow?  Is the United States relinquishing some of our own national authority to the United Nations?  How far has it come from it’s beginning and where  will it TAKE THE US in the next 20 years?

Global Warming

Is the more important thing the concept of what we as only ONE nation can do to slow or stop global warming or the idea of what we can do to survive it?  Are we as a nation that egocentric to believe that if we change, global warming will stop?
